PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Manuscripts submitted to NAFSANA: Journal of Islamic Psychology will undergo a rigorous review process through several stages:

1. Initial Editorial Screening
Submitted manuscripts will first be evaluated by the editorial team to ensure conformity with the journal template, the aims and scope of the journal, and the appropriateness of the research methodology. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be rejected at this stage.

2. Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. The maximum similarity index allowed is 20%. Manuscripts with a high level of similarity will be rejected. If the similarity level is within an acceptable range but still requires clarification, the author may be contacted for explanation.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be reviewed by at least two peer reviewers using a double-blind review method. Reviewers will not know the identity of the authors, and authors will not know the identity of the reviewers. The review process will assess: (1) The novelty and originality of the study; (2) The theoretical framework used; (3) The research methodology; (4) The results and discussion; and (5) The conclusions and recommendations

4. Editorial Decision Meeting
Reviewer comments and recommendations will be discussed in an editorial meeting to determine one of the following decisions: Rejected, Major revisions required, Minor revisions required, and Accepted.

5. Revision Stage
If revisions are required, the manuscript will be returned to the author for improvement. Authors are expected to submit the revised manuscript promptly. Manuscripts returned later than three months will be treated as new submissions.

6. Final Decision
After the revised manuscript is resubmitted, the editor will make the final decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the author’s revisions.
