Withdrawal of Manuscript

1. General Policy

Al-Mubtadi: Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah recognizes that authors may occasionally need to withdraw a submitted manuscript before publication. However, manuscript withdrawal must be conducted through a formal procedure to maintain publication ethics, editorial transparency, and the integrity of the scholarly publishing process.

2. Request for Manuscript Withdrawal

Authors who wish to withdraw a manuscript must submit a written request to the editorial team through the journal's official communication channels or the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, where applicable. The request must include the manuscript title, submission identification number, reason for withdrawal, and confirmation from the corresponding author that all co-authors have agreed to the request.

3. Conditions for Withdrawal

A manuscript may be considered for withdrawal before publication for legitimate reasons, including substantial errors in the submitted work, concerns about research integrity, authorship disputes, or other justified circumstances.

Authors should not withdraw a manuscript merely to submit the same work to another journal while the submission remains under consideration by Al-Mubtadi. A manuscript must not be submitted simultaneously to more than one journal.

4. Editorial Review and Confirmation

The editorial team will review each withdrawal request and may seek additional information when necessary. Withdrawal becomes official only after the journal has confirmed the request in writing or through the OJS system.

Until official confirmation is received, the manuscript remains under the journal's editorial process. Authors should communicate with the editorial team before taking further action concerning the submission.

5. Withdrawal After Acceptance or Publication

Requests to withdraw a manuscript after acceptance will be considered carefully in light of the publication stage and the circumstances presented. If an article has already been published, the matter will be handled under the journal's correction and retraction policy, as appropriate, rather than treated as an ordinary pre-publication withdrawal.

6. Ethical Considerations

The journal does not support unauthorized withdrawal, duplicate submission, or withdrawal intended to conceal research misconduct. Where concerns arise regarding plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, authorship disputes, or other publication ethics violations, the editorial team may conduct further inquiries in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

7. Record Keeping

The journal may retain records of withdrawal requests, editorial communications, and final decisions for administrative, ethical, and publication-integrity purposes, subject to the journal's privacy policy and applicable requirements.

This policy aims to ensure that manuscript withdrawal is handled fairly, transparently, and responsibly while protecting the interests of authors, editors, reviewers, and the academic community.
